Move beyond self-development and self-improvement.
Note that, I used "Beyond" not "Away-from"
Have you ever felt like self-transformation is an elusive goal, even when others seem to achieve great results?
The confusion arising from conflicting teachings can be overwhelming. Concepts like:
- Self-love versus beyond self-love?
- Manifesting & making things happen versus going with the flow?
- Chasing your purpose versus purpose naturally occurring?
- Thinking positive versus beyond thinking?
- Doing what you love versus loving everything you do?
- Having desires versus being in the moment?
- Control versus surrender?
The list goes on…
Further, if you are just beginning your transformational journey, you may lean more towards the first part of the sentence (before the “versus’)… You can skip the rest of the content…this is not for you…
But most people who work with me have already done many self-development programs, self-improvement, life coaching, executive/leadership coaching, gurus, youtube, self-help and yet it feels like a hamster wheel..
And if you are in this boat, this information might benefit you..
The concepts mentioned above can be classified into two categories: outside-in and inside-out approaches.
The portion before "versus" represents the outside-in approaches, which are typically taught through learning and implementation in most self-development programs.
These approaches rely on willpower, motivation, and masculine energy—elements that receive significant emphasis in the self-development world.
Conversely, the portion after "versus" represents inside-out approaches, which demand introspection, openness, vulnerability, and surrender - more feminine energy
One major MISCONCEPTION is that self-development and personal growth work the same way for everyone.
Accomplished individuals who are highly functional and perform at a high level are often ready to transition to outside-in approaches.
Unfortunately, much of the information available online (with a few exceptions) is primarily focused on self-development.
Consequently, it feels like an exhausting, arduous task—just another burden added to our already busy lives.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞 - 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.
These levels determine the ways in which our awareness interacts within ourselves and with the external world. Let's explore them briefly:
𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝟏: 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐦 𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐨-𝐌𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 - Individuals with this mindset believe that external factors control their life circumstances (be it people, careers, parents, teachers, gurus) - either positively or negatively.
This perspective hinders self-responsibility, leading to a victim mentality, blame, criticism of self and others.
𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝟐: 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐲-𝐌𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 - Individuals at this level take full responsibility for their lives and believe they can shape their reality through thoughts and actions.
While empowering, this mindset can also become limiting if individuals become fixated on external results and the mistaken belief that these outcomes will bring lasting happiness.
Techniques like the law of attraction, manifestation, visualization, focus, and attention are employed to achieve desired outcomes.
However, life becomes a relentless pursuit, one goal after another, lacking fulfillment and depth.
Without evolved consciousness, manifesting can feed the ego's pride and create a false sense of mastery.
𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝟑: 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡-𝐌𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 - This marks the beginning of a true transformational journey, surpassing the limitations of the ego.
At this stage, individuals relinquish the need for control and instead tap into intuitive knowing, deep trust, and inner wisdom for guidance.
External expectations and the ego's quest for approval give way to inner alignment and acceptance.
The shift from "what one should be" to "what one is meant to be" brings about humility, vulnerability, surrender, and complete acceptance.
𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝟒: 𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 - This represents a shift from a limited sense of self to experiencing non-dual awareness.
In this fluid state, consciousness freely moves between different states, guided by innate intelligence.
It's a state of equality where no one is more or less special than anyone
Each level is an integral part of the inner evolutionary journey, and growth can be derived from all of them.
However, it is crucial to understand which teachings and methods align with each stage of consciousness.
