My Inner Work

𝐌𝐘 𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊... ​ Growing up… I had a dog… ​ It took so much “convincing” to my parents to have a dog at home… ​ Beg, plead, tantrums, emotional blackmail…anything that would work… ​ Fast forward many years later… ​ Although there was a deep desire within me to adopt a dog, I always 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐃 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊…. ​ The commitment, the work, the planning, the early mornings, the frequent walks for the pee & potty breaks….and a load of other things to deal with… ​ I could not convince myself to have a dog… it was too much 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 ​ I was too busy, too much work, too tired, too exhausted, too much on my plate, kids are too young, too cold during winters, too hot during summers, too much pollen during spring, too messy during rainy seasons…too this and too that… ​ Until one day….I 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐙𝐄𝐃… ​ The most difficult person to convince was 𝐌𝐘𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅 ​ And I finally made that 𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐑 leap… ​ The 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐄 became 𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐑 ​ Today… ​ I have this baby with me, he gives us so much joy, so much love, so much 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 ​ My kids love this guy, my hubby - ​ who would run away seeing a dog - has his affection pouring for this guy! ​ And when someone asks me if we adopted Aster for our kids… ​ I say…”No, I got Aster for 𝐌𝐘𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅” ​ It is amazing to see how the 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐂 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊… Helps to 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐦𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧... ​ And It is really nice to do something just for 𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐒, for the 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐄 desire within ​ Aster turns 2 today! ​
